Keynote Speakers:

  • Workshop/Quiz: Basics in Radiochemistry, CAFACHEM organizers

  • Nuclide production & Radionuclide Target Chemistry, Speaker to be announced

  • Halogen Radiochemistry, Speaker to be announced

  • C-11 & N-13 Chemistry, Speaker to be announced

  • Therapeutic Halogen Radionuclides, Speaker to be announced

  • Radiotracer Design, Tony Gee

Workshops:

  • Radiosynthesis Automation: This workshop will focus on how we can automate a radiosynthetic procedure for tracer production. We will start with a small lecture on automation in general. Then you continue in smaller groups where you will learn to program an automated synthesis sequence on one of the available synthesis modules. At the end of the workshop the programs will be tested on the synthesis modules to see if they are successful.

  • In Vitro and In Vivo PET Tracer Evaluation: This workshop is on the evaluation of a known PET tracer. You will work in small groups and be asked to analyze the raw data (in vitro / in vivo) of a given dataset. You will present your results and interpretation of the data at the end of the workshop to conclude if the tracer should be used for further investigations.

  • PET Tracer Development from Scratch: In this workshop you will work in small groups on the design of a novel PET tracer. You have to design a radiosynthesis for a given molecule including a way to synthesize the required precursor. At the end of the workshop you will present, with your group, the proposed radiolabeling and how you would synthesize the precursor.

Information for participants presenting their research during scientific sessions:

POSTERS: Posters should be max A0 size (width 841 mm; height 1189 mm) in portrait format. Kings College does not offer any poster printing service on site.

PRESENTATIONS: Each oral presentation slot will be 15 minutes long, which include 13 minutes of presentation followed by 2 minutes of questions and answers. Presenters are strongly encouraged to deliver their presentations in time. File formats. Acceptable presentations formats are PowerPoint and PDF.
