iSRS 2025 Gold Coast Australia

G’Day Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the SRS Leadership and the international program and organizing committee, it was our pleasure to welcome you to Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, for the 26th International Symposium on Radiopharmaceutical Sciences which took place May 11 to May 15, 2025.

Following the successful meeting two years ago in Honolulu (HI), USA, we were pleased to offer a valuable opportunity to explore the latest innovative research in our field, engage with more than 30 corporate partners and exhibitors, network and exchange ideas with colleagues from all over the world, and spend a few days in a fantastic location.

Over 500 abstracts were received, between ordinary and, for the first time ever, late-breaking submissions, and scored by 165 peer reviewers. From these abstracts, the international scientific program committee curated a strong and engaging agenda of presentations covering the full spectrum of radiopharmaceutical sciences, including the rapidly growing field of targeted radiotherapeutics. Two rapid-fire sessions highlighted 20 of the top-ranked posters just prior to the four Meet the Author poster sessions. We also hosted four engaging plenary sessions and nearly 80 scientific presentations.

We were able to secure substantial local funding in Australia, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Local Organising Committee. This, in conjunction with support from our Corporate Partners, IAEA, SRS Hot Atom Fund and other funding sources, enabled us to offer travel awards that supported students and early career researchers in attending the symposium. This allowed them to meet and interact with knowledgeable colleagues.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the SRS member volunteers who contributed their valuable time to ensure that the meeting was productive and fulfilling. A special thanks goes to the SRS-TT group for organizing the Educational Workshops. We also thank our Corporate Partners for their continued support and presence. Additionally, we wish to acknowledge Charles Metzger, Bailey Wolberg, Kevin Fisher and the whole team for their tireless efforts and attention to detail in making this conference a success.

In closing, we thank you for traveling to the conference, as it is your participation in the program that enhances the educational and networking experience. We hope that this conference left you invigorated with new scientific insights and collaborations while fostering meaningful interactions amongst colleagues and friends.

We hope your time in the Gold Coast and Australia was both memorable and enjoyable!

Cheers,
