Call for Abstracts

Abstract Submission will open soon.

The organizing committee invited early career staff scientists, technicians, undergraduate and graduate students (MS and PhD) and postdocs to submit abstracts of their research for CAFACHEM 2026 Summer School.

  2. Fluorine-18 Chemistry

  3. Other Organic Radionuclide Chemistry

  4. Other Halogen Radionuclide Chemistry

  5. Radiopharmaceuticals for Neurology

  6. Radiopharmaceuticals for Oncology

  7. Radiopharmaceuticals for Other Indications

  8. Halogen-based Theranostics

Abstract Topics Include:

  • Abstract submission begins: February 16

  • Abstract submission ends: May 20

  • Abstract review begins: May 22

  • Abstract review ends: May 31

  • Abstract and award notification: June 4, 2026

Abstract Guidance/Instructions:

  • Limit your abstract body to 500 words; this includes any words used in tables as part of the abstract body.

  • Abstract title and author/affiliation information do not count against the 500-word total.

  • Only one JPG or PNG image may be uploaded, though you may combine up to three images into one file. Images will be displayed electronically in color.

  • Organize your abstract according to the standard subtitles: Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions, Acknowledgments, and References.

  • Download additional Important Guidance and a Sample Abstract.

  • Follow the nomenclature guidelines specified in the articles found here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.nucmedbio.2017.09.004 and here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.nucmedbio.2020.11.003.

  • Use only one table in the body of your abstract.

  • Your abstracts must include actual data and not simply be an overview.

  • If the abstract refers to a compound, the compound’s structure should be disclosed in the abstract figure.
