Class Dates: 21-26 September, 2026
The course will be accomplished in one week and will be carried out on:
21-23 September with Lectures in classroom with world experts @ Accademia Cusanus in Bressanone (BZ), Italy.
23-26 September with attendance at TERACHEM 2026 and social interactions with world-renowned experts @ Forum Brixen, Bressanone (BZ), Italy.
Goals:
Stimulate interest and excitement in radiopharmaceuticals' potential as diagnostic and therapeutic agents
Provide fundamental training on how to design and characterize and translate new theranostic radiopharmaceuticals to PhD students, residents, and young investigators for implementing precision medicine
Encourage students to network with their peers and senior scientists in the field
Number of students: 35 PhD students, PostDocs or young investigators from all over the world.
Prerequisites: Graduates from relevant fields of Life Sciences, such as Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacy and Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine are eligible to join the summer school
Eligibility
Either the trainee or mentor must be a current member of the SRS or willing to become a member by subscribing
The trainee is a pre-doctoral graduate student or a postdoctoral fellow within three years of being awarded a graduate degree.
The trainee must be the presenting author of an accepted abstract (oral or poster).
Procedures
Submit Abstract for review by March 31, 2026
Select the “Travel Award and Summer School” button on the registration page also by date to be determined.

Letter of support from mentor that includes basis for financial need and statement of importance of attendance to education/research.
Simple document detailing five, single-sentence reasons you wish to attend the Summer School
Student travel award applicants will be notified within 10 days after notification of abstract acceptance.
Summer School applicants will be notified within 21 days after notification of abstract acceptance.
General Information
Selection criteria: CV, motivation letter, geographical and educational balance and gender equity.
Evaluation module: Evaluation will be based on attendance (40%), participation, assignments (40%), and final report (20%).
Attendance: This is a must in order to receive full credit of the course.
Final report: The students will submit a final report at the end of the Summer School during Saturday afternoon on 26 September 2026 at the end of TERACHEM 2026
Certificate of attendance: University of Padova, DSF and SRS
Registration fee for the Summer School is additional to TERACHEM 2026 registration:
Student & Postdoc SRS members and non-members: € 240,00 (VAT included)
Registration fees for TERACHEM 2026:
Student & Postdoc SRS members: € 350,00 (VAT included)
Student & Postdoc Non members: € 420,00 (VAT included)

After the acceptance of your admission to the Summer School, you will receive the link to register.
Registration fee includes:
2 and 1/2 days of lectures with world-renowned experts
Booklet with bibliographic materials and lecture presentations
3 nights in single room or in double shared room (from Sept. 20 to Sept. 23) at the Accademia Cusanus (or Seminario Maggiore) including breakfast. Please remember to book the additional 4 nights on the on-line registration form, selecting Student Accommodation (or Hotel, if you prefer to move to a hotel for the additional nights)
Attendance to all TERACHEM 2026 Scientific Sessions and congress events (a separate Registration Ticket for TERACHEM 2026 is required)
